A couple weeks ago I went to Potrero Farm to volunteer my time to help out the farmers. It was a good experience in the sense that the farmers don't get help from anyone else except for the people that volunteer there time. I learned of a church that volunteers weekly and a school that does the same. The work wasn't rigorous at all but it was a good inside look at where our food comes from which helps when really trying to have respect for food when we are fooled to believe that its in abundance worldwide. Then also appreciate the food in a manner that motivates some to give food to those who don't have any.
